Ken & Vicki Calhoon
Founders of Making A Difference Foundation.
Ken’s professional fifty-year career has been in real estate and finance, culminating in the ownership of a large regional brokerage firm. Along the way, Ken has earned advanced disciplines from the National Association of Realtors. Ken has served as a Real Estate Commissioner and a Director to the State Housing Finance Authority. Ken is a past president of his local Chamber of Commerce, is currently Chairmen of the local schools district’s Oversight Committee and is a Director of the Taxpayers Association for El Dorado County.
Vicki’s background has included many years of real estate sales and management. She has been by Ken’s side for nearly 40 years, helping where needed. Ken says about Vicki, “She has done everything from sales to managing offices.” Since relocating to El Dorado Country, Vicki has followed her passion for the arts. She studied pottery at Sierra College and advanced her studies under nationally recognized instructors at the Scottsdale Art Center and the University of Victoria in British Columbia. She has maintained her pottery studio in Pilot Hill for 30 years and her work has been featured in galleries and displayed throughout Northern California.
Ken and Vicki live in Pilot Hill and are actively involved in Making A Difference Foundation.

Lon and his wife Cheryl have lived in Cool, California for fifteen years where he has been pursuing his second career as a local home builder. Lon is a graduate of UCLA Dental School and was in private practice for 30 years in Orange County. While in Orange County Lon served on many community, civic, and non-profits Board of Directors including the Orange County Fire Authority, Orange County Vector Control and Board Member of the local waste management agency. Lon’s philanthropic work has included Charity’s Best of South Orange County and Founding Member and President of Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort (CARE). Lon is a former City Council member and Mayor of San Juan Capistrano and past Director and Chairman of the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District, (GDPUD). Lon and Cheryl own a horse ranch and vineyard in Cool.
Leah Ann Zogg

Leah Ann has been a long-time resident of the Georgetown Divide and a recognized community leader. She has an extensive background in employee benefit insurance for small and median size business. After many years as an outstanding agent, Leah Ann opened Sierra Benefit Solutions, a Health Insurance Agency where she is senior partner and co-owner. She is a Certified Employee Benefit Consultant designing custom health insurance and benefit plans.
Leah Ann has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. She is a member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), California Agents and Health Insurance Professionals (CAHIP), and is a member of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. She is the past Vice President of her local Chamber of Commerce and remains as a Director.
According to Ken Calhoon, President of Making A Difference Foundation, “Leah Ann has worked tirelessly for her community. Food Baskets for a local church, Toys for Kids and organizing fund-raising events for local charities. She is in constant motion.”
Leah Ann enjoys cooking and entertaining for friends and family at her beautiful hillside home in Pilot Hill. She loves being “Mimi” to her grandchildren, volunteering for community events and promoting small businesses in the county.
